Rachael Kerr

Repetiteur

Currently a faculty vocal coach at the Glenn Gould School, Rachael Kerr has been a coach and repetiteur for the Canadian Opera Company since 2017.

Through the COC, she has also been part of developing world premieres of operas by Rufus Wainwright, Ana Sokolovic and Ian Cusson. Past credits include two recent song recital tours with Jeunesses Musicales du Canada, as well as serving as music director for shows with Against the Grain Theatre and Soundstreams.

Rachael has also been a rehearsal pianist for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in numerous projects, including major symphonic vocal works such as Mahler’s Symphony No. 3, Stravinsky’s Pulcinella, Massenet’s Thaïs, Wagner’s Die Walküre, Mozart’s Requiem, Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 13, and Weill’s Seven Deadly Sins

Recent season highlights include performing in concert with soprano Adrianne Pieczonka at the University of Western Ontario and a recital with soprano Karoline Podolak for the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto, in addition to appearing in numerous concerts under the auspices of Toronto Summer Music.
